Helpful Kit

If you’re planning to hold playing out sessions regularly, we might be able to help you with basic kit.

Kit free to borrow in Bristol!

If you live in Bristol you’re in luck! We have very nifty ‘Playing Out’ kit-boxes you can borrow for free and keep for the duration of your Temporary Play Street Order.

For those in other areas, kits are available to buy, get in touch if you’re interested. Ideally you would get your council to buy a batch or find a local funding pot to pay for them, but if you are really stuck for a way to cover the cost, let us know and we’ll see what we can do to help.

Kit box contents

The boxes are waterproof, easily stored and contain all the essential bits and pieces to safely open your street for play, plus a few extra fun things! Each box costs £60 and includes:

  • Playing Out organiser pack (with manual)
  • Large wheelie-bin stickers x 4
  • Lanyards with whistles and steward briefing attached x 2
  • Hi visibility vests x 4
  • Posters x 10
  • Leaflets x 100
  • Long skipping rope x 1
  • Elastic
  • Street chalk x 2 packs
