This map shows the growing number of residents and councils who are helping to enable children to play out more. We add information to it when we know of activity happening on streets and in neighbourhoods.

You can find out what’s happening where you live and see whether there are others doing things locally who are happy to give you support and advice. Our Local Authority Directory lists the areas where most change is happening. If you are already doing something on your street and it’s not yet on the map, please email us to let us know.

Local contact

We know of two streets in Derby that have held playing out sessions, and the council is supportive of street play allowing road closures on a monthly basis (providing the initial session goes smoothly).

If you would like to get in touch with someone who is organising sessions locally, you can email the Strutts Park Community Group via this link

If you live in Derby and would like to apply for a road closure in Derby, you can do so for free using this webform http://www.derbylive.co.uk/hire-our-spaces/outdoor-spaces/road-closures/
