See how the street play movement is growing across the UK.

Find out what’s happening where you live and if there are streets already playing out. We know that there are many active streets not listed here so please let us know of anything you are doing so we can add it to the map. You can also check our Local Authority Directory to see if your council has a street play policy yet.

What’s happening in East Northamptonshire?

Street play in Northamptonshire is dealt with by the county council – see more details on the Trilogy Leisure page which links to the Northampton County Council application form.

If you live in Northamptonshire you can apply to closure your street regularly for up to three hours at a time.  Play streets in the county have been championed by Trilogy Leisure (formerly Northampton Leisure Trust) and you can apply to the council for free using this form.

As well as resident-led street play, Trilogy have been holding street play sessions in Spring Boroughs.  The scheme started in 2013 and was expanded for 2014.  You can read an evaluation of the pilot written by Northampton University Researchers here.
