Find out what’s happening where you live and if there are streets already playing out. We know that there are many active streets not listed here so please let us know of anything you are doing so we can add it to the map. You can also check our Local Authority Directory to see if your council has a street play policy yet.
Various individuals and community groups are working hard to get Playing Out happening in Suffolk, and the council are working with them on a pilot scheme to launch in 2020.
There is a local Facebook page called Suffolk Play Streets that you can follow for more information and updates.
Ann Osborn from Rural Coffee Caravan and Sally Connick from Community Action Suffolk jointly organised an information session about Play Streets in July 2019 attended by around 30 local residents and community activists. Herts Playing Out Activator Rob Schafer shared his experience and a local Steering Group was formed.
