We’re adding a pin for every area where parents, residents, a community organisation or the council (and ideally, all of them together) are starting to change things for children through play streets and related ideas. What’s happening in Nottingham?

As a resident you can apply to close your road up to 12 times a year. The application form is on their website here.

Nottingham City Council launched its city-wide street play scheme in June 2017. One mum described a playing out session as children “getting exercise without noticing.”

The Council is helping some streets get up and running with play and one of the first events took place in Lees Hill Street in Sneinton, Thursday 15 June.
