HereWe’ve added a pin for every area where parents, residents, a community organisation or the council (and ideally, all of them together) are starting to change things for children through play streets and related ideas. The movement is growing! See what’s happening near you by entering the name of your local authority (council) in the box below. For more support on play streets and to connect with the play streets movement see our Support for play streets page.

Active area
Currently we don’t know of anything that people or the local authority are actively doing in this area so that children can play out more in the places where they live.
If you live in the area and want to get things going, see our tips on how to get your council on board. Find support, information, guidance and stories here.
You can apply to organise a street party, which could be used to run a one off trial play street. This has worked really well to get things started in other areas across the country.
If you want some tips on how to get your council on board, see here.
