This area is a Play Street Beacon, which means there are individual play street experts you can contact in this area for advice and support in your area. Click on the link for more information on our Beacon areas.
As of June 2024, over 100 streets have played out in North Tyneside! Link up with others and get support.
In North Tyneside, residents can apply to close the road on your street, for up to three hours at a time, to make it safer for children to play out. Find out more about how to apply via the council site.
Street Play applications in North Tyneside are now being processed by the council (link above), but before this they were processed by local resident organisation Play.Meet.Street North Tyneside.
