Organising a play street with your neighbours is an amazing and rewarding thing to do. It’s also quite a big thing to do so we have tried to make it as easy as possible.

Does my council support play streets?

Check our map to see where play streets were up to across the UK by 2026. Or just search the internet for “[your council] play streets”. If your council doesn’t have a play street policy yet, don’t be put off. We started in Bristol using a street party application and it grew from there. Many councils are interested but don’t yet have a policy – they will be happy to hear from you. Find out how to get your council on board and help to get play streets started in your area.
